Hey guys! Hope your week is starting off great! With social media being so big, I feel like it’s very easy to focus on everyone’s highlight reel. We don’t often see all the hard work that is behind people’s lifestyles when we only share a snapshot here and there.
So I decided to document a typical day in my life to share with you guys! Most of these are iPhone photos which I would normally never share on a blog post so I thought I would switch it up a bit! I hope this helps you see that aside from my perfectly curated Instagram feed there is a regular human behind it all who can relate to everyone else’s struggles. Keep scrolling to see what my day was like yesterday! (Which was a Monday…. but it actually turned out to be a great day!)
7:00 AM
I usually try to wake up at 6:30 so I can get a workout in at 7. (Although I wish I could make this happen every day that is not the case sometimes!) Some days I wake up too late and will try to fit my workout in after work—but I know I truly feel best when I work out in the morning. I also like to drink a glass of grapefruit juice first thing in the morning (it’s so good for you) and I feel like it quenches my thirst after sleeping. Then I make a cup of coffee… of course. ? Yesterday I did a cardio abs workout in the Tone It Up App. If you haven’t heard of Tone It Up you literally need to check them out. I have been a “TIU girl” for about 4 years now! They make meal prep and workouts SO easy because they do all the planning for you! They also recently came out with a new app (small monthly fee but WORTH IT) where they have classes in the app that you can sign up for! Before the class starts you chat with the other girls in the app and motivate each other. There are ALWAYS new workouts too! I love the Dance HIIT workouts the most!

After my workout, I usually try to make myself a nice breakfast or smoothie if I have time. My days are always best when I can take my time and not rush in the morning. That’s why it’s so important for me to basically be a grandma and go to bed earlier / wake up earlier. ??? Yesterday, I decided to post my Instagram post for the day in the morning. I wanted to share a motivational post to inspire others when it’s truly needed—on a Monday morning!

Time to get ready! I was able to get ready really quick yesterday but I usually prefer to have more time to get ready. My work is super close to me (I can even walk) so I can have a lot of time to get ready in the morning—which I appreciate SO MUCH.

Time for work! Yesterday I had a very busy day as you can see… The workday flew by for me! For those of you who don’t know, I work as an art director at a digital marketing agency and I absolutely love how creative I can be in my career! Agency life can definitely get stressful sometimes but at the end of the day, it’s always worth it.

Time for lunch! Yesterday I had a store-bought salad from Kroger and it was actually pretty good!

Time for my afternoon caffeine fix! Yesterday I got an iced cinnamon almond milk macchiato with no caramel drizzle. It’s SOOO good. I also need a caffeine fix after lunch because if I don’t I get SUPER sleepy.

Work is now over which means we can shoot! This is Jane, one of my blogger friends AND coworker which makes shooting super easy. Check out her blog and Instagram because her style is the cutest!! This is the time that we got that shot of me in front of that cute burger place. ☺

Time for girls night!! I hosted last night and I think I can safely say that we all left with {very} full tummies. Endless wine and cheese after a long day is always a good idea—especially when you can spend it with your best girlfriends. One of my friends from NY was in town so she was able to come and it was so nice catching up with her. ❤

As you can see, empty bottles of wine is always a sign of a good time! My friends left at this time and to be honest, I was exhausted. I was so ready to curl up in my bed.

I was in bed by 11:30 and probably passed out in 5 minutes! I think it’s very obvious that I’m a morning person by looking over this post. I have a lot more to say about my morning than I do about my night!! Are you guys morning or night people?!
